Before you ask

Questions, answered honestly.

The things patients actually ask us — with straight answers, not sales copy.

Am I a good candidate for a hair transplant?
Most men with a stable donor area are. The honest answer comes at your consultation: KE-Bot measures your donor density and your surgeon tells you plainly whether surgery is right for you — and will say so if it isn't.
Is the result permanent?
Yes. Transplanted follicles are taken from areas that are genetically resistant to hair loss, so they keep growing for life. We may still advise on protecting the non-transplanted hair around them.
Does it hurt, and what's the recovery like?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, so most patients are comfortable throughout — many listen to music or doze. You'll look a little pink for a few days; the majority are back at work within a week.
Will there be visible scarring?
FUE leaves no linear scar. Each follicle is extracted through a tiny individual point that heals and fades to near-invisible — even if you later wear your hair very short.
How many grafts will I need — and what will it cost?
It depends on your pattern and your goals. Our estimator gives a realistic range in seconds, and your exact figure is confirmed by KE-Bot at consultation. Your quote is fixed and all-inclusive — confirmed before you commit to anything, never a starting-from number, and nothing is added on the day.
Who actually performs the surgery?
Your surgeon, from first consultation to final placement. The hairline design, the extraction, the implantation — one patient a day, all performed by his hands. At no point are you passed to an unsupervised technician.
How long until I see the result?
Transplanted hairs shed first — this is normal. New growth appears at around three to four months, and full density arrives at nine to twelve months. It's a year-long process, and we review you the whole way through.
Do you offer finance?
Yes. 0% APR finance is available over 6 or 24 months, always subject to the lender's assessment. A deposit may be required, and we agree that with you before you apply. City Clinics Group Limited is an Introducer Appointed Representative of Ideal Sales Solutions Ltd, t/a Ideal4Finance — they are the credit broker, not us, and the lending decision is theirs. We show you the exact figures before you commit to anything.
What's included in the price?
Everything: the surgery, KE-Bot mapping, all medication, and the full £2,000 aftercare programme — four surgeon reviews and four PRP sessions across your first year. Nothing is added on the day.
Why choose Harley Street over a package trip to Istanbul?
Some Istanbul clinics do excellent work — the difference is what surrounds the surgery. Here, the surgeon who consults you is the surgeon who operates, in our CQC-registered private hospital, and your £2,000 aftercare year happens face-to-face rather than over a messaging app. Compare like-for-like — surgery, medication, follow-up and travel — and the gap narrows considerably. The comparison table above sets it out honestly.

Still deciding? Speak to a surgeon directly — the consultation is free, and there's no obligation.

The pricing questions, answered.

Why don't you publish prices on the website?
Because an honest price can't be guessed from a photograph — it's measured from your head. What we publish is the structure: four all-inclusive tiers banded by graft count, fixed at consultation.
Is there really nothing added on the day?
Nothing. Medication, the aftercare kit, four reviews, four PRP sessions and the 24-hour line are inside the quoted figure — the price you agree is the price you pay.
Do I have to pay a deposit to hold my quote?
No. Your written quote stays as agreed while you take time to reflect. Cooling-off is built into our process — there are no expiring offers here.
Why is Harley Street more than a package trip abroad?
Often it isn't, once flights, hotels, revision rates and a year of missing aftercare are priced in. The honest comparison is on our pricing page — including where cheaper clinics genuinely are cheaper, and what they trade away.
Can a hair transplant fail?
Yes — through poor candidacy, rushed technique or abandoned aftercare. We stack the odds the only honest way: your surgeon decides if you're a candidate at all, performs the surgery personally, and reviews the result four times across a year. No clinic should promise you a percentage.
Will I keep losing my native hair afterwards?
Pattern loss can continue around transplanted hair — which is why your plan is designed against your future pattern, not just today's photograph, and why donor hair is budgeted rather than spent. Protecting what you still have is part of every review conversation.
Am I too young for this?
Possibly — and if so, you'll hear it from the surgeon directly. Loss that hasn't stabilised makes surgery the wrong tool this year; operating anyway is how bad hairlines get made. Waiting costs nothing here: no deposit, no expiring offer.

Ask any clinic these

Five questions that expose any clinic in minutes.

  • Who actually performs the extraction and placement — surgeon or technicians?
  • How many patients does my surgeon operate on that day?
  • What's your surgeon's GMC number — and may I check it?
  • What exactly happens in the twelve months after surgery — and what does it cost?
  • Will you tell me if I shouldn't have surgery yet?

Our answers: your surgeon, one, gladly, everything on the aftercare page — included, and yes, we do.
