John was experiencing male pattern baldness, with substantial thinning at the crown and a visibly receding hairline. This image shows the state of his hair before undergoing any treatment.
As part of the preparation for his hair transplant, John’s scalp was meticulously marked by the surgeon. These detailed markings outline the targeted areas for graft placement, ensuring optimal density and a natural hairline reconstruction. This step is essential for customizing the transplant to suit his individual hair restoration goals.
To begin the hair transplant, the hair in John’s donor area—typically located at the back or sides of his head—was trimmed short. This enables the surgical team to accurately remove healthy follicles, which are then carefully prepared and implanted into the thinning or balding spots at the front of his scalp.
Two weeks after his hair transplant, John’s scalp is healing well. At this point, the implanted hairs are starting to emerge. Scabs have fallen off, swelling has decreased, and redness is fading. Although noticeable hair growth isn’t expected yet, this stage is vital for the early recovery and successful integration of the grafts.
Six weeks post-surgery, John’s scalp appears largely healed. Scarring from the transplant is minimal, and the new hairline is starting to thicken, giving an early indication of the improved density and overall shape.
