He began his medical career at Kings College Hospital in London where he trained as a Clinical Fellow in Trauma & Orthopaedics.  He then completed his Core Surgical Training in Manchester, qualifying as a Surgeon. During this time he sparked an interest in skin grafting techniques used in restorative surgery for treating trauma and burns patients.
