Generally, the hair transplant procedure is a success and works well for the majority of cases. However, some factors can alter the final result.
If the scarring is in-depth and very large (hypertrophic), then there is a reduced blood supply to the affected area. A lack of blood to the newly transplanted hair follicles is not ideal, as they will cease to function and eventually, not survive. Alternatively, if the scar tissue is too thin (atrophic) then; it may struggle to hold and support the newly implanted hair follicles.
We want our patients to have the best chance at success and, so we always recommend a test session, with a detailed consultation to examine the concerns. If you'd like to have a; consultation and test procedure, or discuss any queries, please contact us, we'll be happy to offer advice via the Whatsapp link on our website, to discuss your options online.
